The following lyric, "The Times That I'll Miss" I dedicate to my deceased son Michael Todd Bond, who took his own life in 1996 at the young and tender age of 25. While writing the lyric I felt very deep in emotion, and I'm sure what I have written may touch the living soul of many others who have lost their loved one. We all have our own lessons to learn in life, but if we can find a comfort zone by openingly sharing with others our mistakes that we want to learn and grow from, then maybe we have raised to a higher plateau of understanding and love. Perhaps these words will make you stop and think, and help you make some changes. _________________________________________________________________________ The Times That I'll Miss Divorce is such a sad thing, When children are involved. It happens due to problems, Two people can't resolve. It breaks the little hearts, Who just can't understand. They don't see mom and dad, As just a woman and a man. The times That I'll miss, Are the ones I won't see. His many special moments, Became my lost memories. It's when you lose a a child, You see where you were wrong. But the knowledge comes late, because you waited too long. I seldom said, "I love you." I rarely showed my pride. My son will never know, The things I felt inside. The times he reached out, He never found me there. And now it's too late, To tell him how I cared. The times That I'll miss, Are the ones I won't see. His many special moments, Became my lost memories. Copyright 1999 By Glenn Smith (all Right reserved) Rewritten 2001
