The Spring Of My Youth Verse 1: I find it funny and sometimes sad, When I examine the life I've had. I'll see mistakes that I've made, And places I should have stayed. When we are young, we're often blind, Until we realize what we left behind. Then we'll miss what's lost and gone, We'll see what stayed as we moved on. Chorus 1: When I was in the Spring of my youth, I searched, and searched for the truth. Walking down a labyrinth of life, Searching hard for a real love. Verse 2: Loves were lost when tempers flared, I never told many how much I cared. I took chances when I shouldn't have. Now I see the things I could have had. In the years when wisdom turns us gray, We often look back on our yesterdays. It's too late to correct our mistakes, When we see we've missed our breaks. Chorus: Chorus 2: But I was in the Spring of my youth, I searched, and searched for the truth. I walked down the labyrinth of life, Looking hard for a real love. As years and tears has made us wise, Life is seen through different eyes. But I was in the Spring of my youth, I was looking for the truth, Looking for a real love! ©Copyright 2001 By: Glenn Smith & Alex Jones (All rights reserved)
