When I See His Memories He left roads that he paved, Along with the love he gave. When I see his memories, I see the man I want to be. Dad told me what it means, To always chase my dreams. He taught me not to lie, And he never made me cry. If someone was down on luck, He would fill up his truck. He was always there to help, If there was an empty shelf. Chorus: Dad was the world to me, He taught me what to be. And tears fill my eyes, When I see his memories. Many felt the love he gave, And had cried at his grave. Dad's life had been rough, But he saw we had enough. He showered us with love, And praised the man above. No one fills his shoes, He paid all of his dues. The Lord took him home, He is where he belongs. Chorus: Dad was the world to me, He taught me what to be. And tears fill my eyes, When I see his memories. Many felt the love he gave, And had cried at his grave. Copyright 2001 By: Glenn Smith (All rights reserved)
