She Had To Walk Away

Verse 1:
It's dark where he stands, a lost and lonely man.
Love wanted to stay but he drove it away.
His love was not true and now he's feeling blue.
He threw away things that only love can bring.

Chorus 1:
Women and beer were nice, he used to like to throw dice.
He spent money he didn't have and even lost his own face.
She forgave his troubled ways, right up to their final day.

Verse 2:
This man didn't see good things but only storms the rains.
He gave her a lot of tears and she wasted many years.
Good things could have been, she hated him in the end.
The love that he has lost will be his greatest loss.

Chorus 2:

But he did not want any change, and she had to walk away.

He used to come in late, his destiny was his fate.
He didn't appreciate the love that could not wait.
