Senior Citizens Verse 1: We feel pain with the rain, It is hard to get around. There are things we can't do, Worries try to get us down. We need help to pay bills, We need someone to clean. Our lives take a change, As we face what wasn't seen. Chorus: When our youth faded away, We are senior citizens. Life is not like it has been As we depend on our friends To whom we tell our stories Of the good times we have had. Verse 2: When it's time we can't drive, We need a helping hand. We find many things will wait, While we do the best we can. We write with shaky hands, And find eyesight going bad. But we tell our stories, Of the good times we have had. Chorus: When our youth faded away, We are senior citizens. Life is not like it has been As we depend on our friends. To whom we tell our stories Of the good times we have had. As we age, health will fade, And our eyesight will be bad. But we'll all tell our stories Of the good times we've had. Life with friends may be great Let's ask God for a friend. ©Copyright 2001 By: Glenn Smith & Alex Jones (All right reserved)
