Local songwriter's site gets over 1100 site visitors a day from everywhere but the area where he lives because no one knows about his site! He is best kept secret in Evansville because of no news coverage from local newspaper, TV or Radio stations even though they were advised of site!
On this songwriter's site you can hear all of the new Country, Gospel, Christmas, 9-11-01 songs or read new Country and Gospel lyrics that are waiting become a new song and find many other interesting pages
"I've got you" written by
Dennis Ellison and
Glenn Smith shows the quality of other songs that on this site that local people are missing because they don't know about them.
Evansville Indiana newspaper, TV stations and radio stations were all advised of the McVey song I wrote after Oklahoma bombings. They were all also informed about songs I wrote of terror attack on 9-11-01 that I was offering to others for use to help raise money for survivors,
but they chose not to report the news.
It seems the Evansville Courier & Press likes
to report a pothole, men kissing pigs, and
upside down signs, but not what might
have been a news article that might interest its readers. I've tried
for over 2 years to get an item in the paper
on my songwriting site, the songs, and
lyrics that I have written with different writers, from all around the world.
Many people told me that they've sent
letters asking them to do an article, but
they all were ignored, and got no replies.
The news media controls the news we read in the local
area, and I think it is time that they know
we want local news, if any is available!
We all pay for it, but mostly, we will get a
boring article called news that doesn't
really interest most local area readers.
Many writers lost benefit of knowing
that I was in area and willing to work
with them on a song. I have contacted the local
reporters email and had got no reply.
I've been able to build visitors to my
site, to over 20,000 a month, without
help from paper, TV, or the radio stations
that knew of site, and kept it secret.
For those, that are like me, I don't like
a media not reporting news I might want to
read! Some visiting site might want to
contact the local director of TV station,
or newspaper editor and ask why they
didn't report my site being on web to let
you make decision on visiting the site.
You could let them know that when
there's news, you've a right to know it.
You don't want decision made on news
you get to read, or can't read. Until we
stand up, they will keep making all the
final decisions, on what we get to read.
