"I blame you Mr. Greenspan"
is a new song we've written

WHAT INSPIRED SONG:
Many elderly people in this country look like Mr. Greenspan does in the picture above. Worry is giving them health problems and making them ill as they watch their savings balance dwindle away. Those buying new cars, homes and those with big credit card balances welcomed lower rates, but there is another faction of the population that this has hurt. Many people are suffering, not benefiting from interest rates being dropped and they feel they are being punished for being debt free and having savings.

This song was written to give their side of the story because they feel hardworking Americans are facing hardships they shouldn't be having. They know Mr. Greenspan is not totally responsible but he said to lower interest rates and everyone's life would be better and our elected officials said OK so they blame him for their problems.

What has reduction of interest done? It took 141 Billion dollars out of circulation that was being spent! It lost the taxes to the country, the state and the cities that might've kept them in the black. It made it easier for people to buy cars and homes that couldn't really afford them and now many are losing them and the low interest has ruined their credit!

The elderly in this country that depended on interest for extra money are the most hurt because they can't get a second job! My mother is an example of what many elderly Americans are now experiencing! My dad worked all his life and managed to save a little after raising 5 kids and sacrificing what he needed to give us kids what we needed. When interest was 6% mom was getting an extra $300 a month and now with interest down to about 1.5% she is getting only $75.00 a month. Lower interest rates has taken $225 a month out of her pocket! What would you do if the government cut your check 25%? She was getting almost $1000 a month, but now gets less than $750!

Everyone is trying to take every last dollar that we have worked hard to save. Taxes go up, benefits go down! Telephone and utility companies are breaking all of us! Where will it stop?

When auto companies start selling new cars for 0% interest, this should tell you who was one of the parties that pushed for lower interest! When you donate millions to a politician's campaign chest they listen to what you say and not to the opinions of those that elected them. All politicians are lawyers and that is one reason this country is in the shape it is! They pass laws that benefit lawyers and not the hard working Americans!
